On 2 December 2023, the world-renowned tenor Jonas Kaufmann and the violinist David Garrett joined the youth ensembles of the German Music Council – the German Youth Orchestra, the German Jazz Orchestra, and the National Youth Choir of Germany – for a concert in the Grand Hall of the Elbphilharmonie. Following the performance, they provided the musical accompaniment for the draw of the UEFA EURO 2024 final round, which was broadcast live on ZDF, UEFA.com, and the official UEFA EURO 2024 app. The programme featured original compositions and arrangements by Ansgar Striepens, among others.
